Upgrade to OpenTap 9.33

Hi Keysight Team,

We are currently using OpenTap 9.26.1 in our application.

Our Host Application (Exe) built for x86 platform which is targeted for .Net Framework4.8. Also, we are using Keysight Test Automation editor to create Testplan using custom plugins. These custom plugins also targeted for x86 platform which is targeted for .Net Framework4.8.

We wanted to Upgrade to latest OpenTap (9.33) and Keysight Test Automation Editor. But this latest OpenTap is targeted for .NET9 platform.

  1. Without our Host application and custom plugin upgrade to .NET9, can we use OpenTap (9.33)?
  2. Noted that Keysight.OpenTap.Wpf.dll is targeted for .NET9 which may not work with our host application.
  3. What is the recommended way to upgrade OpenTAP to 9.33?

Hi @rajanbabu033,

Actually, OpenTAP itself is still compiled for .netstandard2.0, which is compatible with WPF.

You should be able to just upgrade OpenTAP to 9.33, but it is important that you don’t upgrade WPF Controls to a version newer than 9.28, since that is targeting .net9.
