Keysight community license seems not to work anymore

Hi,
It seems that something is going wrong while activating the Community License for the Keysight editor. I got the message that I am authenticated after entering my credentials, however an error message is shown that user statistics cannot be installed when the Editor is started. See below.
Do some more people have a similar issue?
I am using the Editor 9.31 and Keysight licensing 1.7.3 and OpenTap version 9.31.1, however the same configuration was working last week.

“Files in use” usually means there is another tap.exe or editor.exe running in the background, holding some lock on those files. You can either:

  1. go hunt down those processes in Task Manager
  2. reboot and try again

Remember the sage advice that IT once gave us:
Hello, have you tried turning it off and on again, goodbye.

I’ll second what @alan_copeland said with the addition that checking out the community license works for me.

Only a killing processes or even a reboot did not solve the issues.
I completely removed my OpenTap installation an did a reinstall of the whole Keysight suite.
Thanks

Unfortunatly the issue returned. If you got the message ‘reactivate community license’ after a couple of days, again the given screenshot with the message ‘Unable to login to OpenTap.io returns.
So far I tried:

  • Killed the ‘Keysight License Notifier’

  • No additional tap.exe process can’t be found

  • Reboot my computer

None of them helped. Only reinstalling the whole Pathwave environment did help. Any Idea? It is a bit annoying to reinstall the environment each couple of days.

A quick way to resolve the error is to use the Package Manager and uninstall the Usage Statistics package. This will resolve the issue until the next license renewal, at which point the same procedure can be repeated.
