OpenTAP MCP Server – Availability and Usage

Hello,

I noticed that OpenTAP is now described as supporting agentic test automation through MCP (Model Context Protocol), allowing AI agents to interact with test plans, plugins, instruments, and results.

Does OpenTAP 9.35 include a built-in MCP server? If so, where can I find it, how can I install and start it, and what additional capabilities does it provide compared to the existing APIs?

As with most AI related products this is currently being developed.

You can download version 0.1.0 from this URL: Package Repository

It’s not built in, there is a plugin that provides it. Check the package contents for documentation.
