Hi,
I like to run Editor X from a network drive.
While running from my local drive works fine, from the network drive I got next error:
ERROR:gpu_process_host.cc(987)] GPU process launch failed: error_code=18
I’ve started the application from command line by: tap editorx
Doing the same with the Editor CE, it works fine.
Has anyone any idea about what might be goingon or to resolve this issue?
Regards Evert
Hey Evert,
What type of network drive are you using?
If you are using SMB, than it might be worth to try setting it to an older version (v2 or ever v1).
In the past I have also seen it getting fixed by a gpu driver update.
Both cases where not with OpenTap. The error you showed is not necessarily a OpenTap specific error.
(Off-topic, It is great to see an old collague still using OpenTap
)

Hi Marc,
Honestly I do not exactly know which kind of share it is, might be SMB. However I already found that this is related to it’s security settings. Since these settings are chosen for good reasons and are company wide, I have decided to put the OpenTAP executables on a local drive an only put only the test sequence files and it’s resources at a network drive.
Indeed nice to see OpenTAP will still be used at different companies I have worked for
